The Northwest Flower and Garden Show in Seattle Washington is worth going to see and experience.  Whether you are a master gardener or a amateur there is something for everyone.  Even your children will enjoy the theme this year.

 

This is the 25th year of the Northwest Flower and Garden Show and they have pulled out all the stops to amaze you.   The theme this year is “The Silver Screen Takes Root”.  Many of our favorite movies “The Wizard Of Oz”, “Mary Poppins”, and ” Star Wars” are brought to life with color and design.   There are 6 acres of gardens to lose yourself in and over 120 free seminars from renowned garden experts.

Kids In The Garden

A great feature implemented this year is is a play garden for the kids.  This area allows children really get hands on in the garden and maybe, a little dirty too.  Also, they have added a petting zoo complete with bunnies and chickens.  And what child doesn’t want to squeeze a furry or feathered friend.  Children also get in free making it easier on the pocket book.

Strolling Around The Garden Show

If your looking to purchase items for your home garden,  you have come to the right place.  There is a market place with an overwhelming amount of garden accessories from seeds to bulbs you name it they have it. There is also food vendors as well as chefs that walk you through the recipes from your garden to the table.

Don’t Miss This Garden Event

The Northwest Flower And Garden Show is the second largest in the country and if your a gardener the inspiration alone with leave you awe struck.  The show is held at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle.  The show runs February 20-24 2013.
